At Glorylight we pride ourselves on breeding a duel purpose Siberian

Sledding in South Africa starts in early April when the weather is moderately cold in the mornings. We always know when to start checking our sledding equipment, our dogs tell us by their behavior. As soon as the cold air set in the excitement runs through the kennel, and any slight sound in the early morning starts the dogs off. They know that the sledding time of the year has arrived and they are relentless in their efforts to tell us that we better get our act together.
The terrain that we sled on is dry and slightly dusty dirt roads, we use wheeled gigs and as one can see it is vastly different to snow sledding. Etienne has spent the best part of 20 years developing sledding equipment for South Africa and its conditions.
The carts that he makes are engineered to a high standard with the correct steering geometry and suspension on all wheels and it is always a challenge to develop a new product. He is in the process of developing a light weight 3 wheeler that we will market world wide it is quite special and it will be a big hit for small team's.
Etienne qualified from South Africa to participate at the world championships. Through lack of sponsorship unfortunately Etienne could not take his own team along, but was kindly loaned a team in the USA.
He had a super time and a highlight was meeting with Earl and Nattily Norris and Harris Dunlop, he made some wonderful acquaintances from all over the world.
